Tried playing

So I bought the game and downloaded the mod, joined up in TS and couldn't figure out to do stupid shit like open doors. Someone tried to explain but it still didn't work.

Eventually a private channel was created in TS and everyone just changed squads. Felt real included to a mod that makes little sense especially when you can't seem to figure it out.

Guess I'll stick with BF3 and DoD:S

Once you play the game you will understand why people at times are unhelpful. There are many cases where things are so intense and require so much coordination that a new guy needing explanation is deadly. This game is unlike any other we hose. Everyone here is more than happy to help when they are able. People spend days collecting equipment that can be lost in an instance. Death in DayZ = start over with nothing.

Drop the poor old puppy dog routine.

I was pretty ok with them not helping, thats why I stopped asking questions and was just listening. What I didn't like was them creating a locked squad and just moving everyone but me to it. and I hadn't said a word for a good 20 minutes before they changed squads.

Allane and another were kind enough to show me how to do some things, we were rolling together for a bit until a hacker joined and started killing everyone. Was fun though!

I know we got off to a rough start and somehow I may actually have been the one who killed you. My murder count went up by one and I don't recall killing another player. It may have been when I was trying to shoot the zombie mauling you.

I thought maybe you had shot me instead of the zombie but I didn't really care, not like I was carrying anything and I knew if you did it was a mistake.

Thanks for helping me out with getting a gun and all though!

haha it was only about the 10th time I've fired a gun in that game and the first firing that particular gun.

No problem, more than happy to do it.

This was part of the reason you were left out of the locked squad. We were getting ghosted in TS by people on the server. They would pop in, mute their mic and listen in. Your name being a new one was a bit suspect. At least two people asked for a response from you before we started moving people. Unfortunately we might have caught you at a bad time.

Anyways, it was nothing personal and im sorry you got caught up in the mess. Please try again, just be vocal when you get on. Alot of us are starting over as a result of tonight's multiple ass whoopings and server hacks, so you wont be alone.

I didn't hear anyone ask me any questions at all while I was on, then again it was hard to keep track of what was being said sometimes since you guys were constantly trying to talk over each other. I figured if anything SourceSkills would have said something that I frequent the BF3 server or something.

I had also decided to stop talking since it seemed you guys were in the middle of something, plus I could hardly get a word in edge wise if I wanted too lol. No worries now.
