its gonna show up greyish, Unless you convert it to .PAA (the arma2 image format file extension)
In the howto It has a link to DL the Converter. You have to make sure of some details though.

It also needed posting in the public Area too.

Sometimes it doesn't. For me was a hit or miss. Current skin is a .jpg (edited arma I) and works fine. Others didn't.
