Every Death is from a hacker.

All of the past 12 deaths have been from someone appearing behind me with an SD M4, or DMR. Two-Four shots and I'm dead. Never see them. It's extremely Frustrating.

137, 195, 267, a Random populated server i picked out of my ass. The night server. the Other night server.
It may just be that someone is tracking our GUID's. I've seen the same players following me around to random servers.

Unfortunately, a server with any reasonable population runs the risk of encountering a hacker. I have been playing on very low pop servers and have only been killed by glitches, but you bet even if there is only one or two others on, im watching my back (Remember that night in Stary Nuck?).

I have been killed a couple of times in the manner you describe Scion, very frustrating indeed. Kinda kills the desire to play since its such an immersion killer to be hacked. Hopefully the standalone will curb that, and we have about 2 months before that is released as Alpha.... so maybe i will take a break from DayZ.

Im not looking to put in any serious hardcore time until tents are fixed anyway. Its pointless (although enjoyable) to loot choppers if you cant store what you loot, and i want to be able to store up gear for various mission styles before parading off to PvP.

I've found PvP requires very little equipment, for Front lines attackers. It is the Distance Sniper that needs gearing up. From my Cheater encounters you are more of a target and easier to kill if you snipe from the hill.

Agreed. Thats why i was looking forward to using the ACOG. Its got great magnification for those 200m shots. So im close enough to be effective and hopefully not so far away that im hacker fodder.
