So my dayz is messed up.

So my dayz is having a strange graphical glitch where the brush is like grey speckled. My fps has also taken a huge hit and I cannot figure out why. I have reinstalled arma 2 and OA. Not really sure what else to do... Any ideas?

Reseat your RAM and your GPU. Make sure your drivers are up to date. If that doesn't work...your graphics card might be dieing.

Or, a simpler option that has worked in the past for me. While in game adjust the graphics options higher and then lower again(pay special attention to anti aliasing/post processing) so that you get the black screen where it's resetting the graphics at least once. It's a temporary fix though and doesn't work for everyone. Good luck.

I might also add I had a virus cleaned out by a business in town do you guys think could have anything to do with it? It started occurring when I got it back now that I think about it,

Oh yes, it's quite possible. Depends if the virus did some damage that is difficult to repair. I once had to reinstall my OS cause a virus messed with the windows sockets.

Would suggest, as above, installing the latest graphics drivers. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the gpu graphics drivers, rebooting, and then reinstalling with the latest.

They made it sound like it was an easy fix but who knows I will try the gpu idea... Though the game worked even while I had the virus and I knew it...
