Stuff that works....

Thought I'd start this thread to post up what works for you, weapons, tactics, customization's and what not.

I unlocked the piston shotty last night and that thing is a beast in cq . Just remember to keep it reloaded and if you run into more than two baddies at a time toss a grenade and run away to reload. six rounds go fast.

Pretty much all the Shotguns are beast in CQ. Specially in the hands of an Infiltrator. Cloak + Shotgun = Funtimes.

I was wondering the same thing. Not sure what to spend certs n first. Skills? Weapon upgrades or unlocks?

Not sure where my bang for buck is

First couple of certs I got I bought flaq armor and Plasma armor?? I think it's called... They are both 1 cert but I needed something to stop from dieing so much.

I feel ya......It's pretty daunting. Play through Steam(easy to IM), hop in the TPG TS, and send/accept the friends requests in-game. We had a bunch of us on last night, and were able to find each other after some trying.

One of the best things to spend certs on is Sunderer AMS - it lets you make the Sunderer into a spawn point, and you get xp for people spawning off it, plus, helps your faction accomplish its goals easier. That's where my first 50 certs are going.

My first 50 was the mobile spawn for the sunderer because as anyone who was playing in the first few hours knows, it was required. However, now not so much because I usually find other sunderers set up by the time I get to an area.

I think I bought the piston as well and I'm very pleased with it while fighting close in.

My advice is get anything (medical upgrades, engineer upgrades, etc.) that will help you get XP quick since XP is the key to cert points. Then play your ass off, making sure you are always in an active fight.

Thanks dex, it was good to find y'all online. Tenrou, and white were also great. I am barely getting a feel for it. Such a large game, there are so many on that don't know how to attack or defend so it began to be fun when I finally figured out enough to tknow what I was defending, what I was attacking, and why. At least now I can take advantage of the strats and "skills" from BF2/Pr and apply them at this level. I started to have fun flanking the enemy and taking/capping territory. We got pinned down and everyone (it seemed) was staying in one place and the enemy appeared to have their heart and focus on that single locatino. As I started capping territory, another group started moving out with me and we started spreading the enemy out. It was good that the primary spawn was still being defended by a large portion of our team. If they hadn't, it wouldn't have worked so well. Taking out the ability for the enemy to spawn so closely to our "main" helped our defense.

Still disoriented and I haven't "purchased" anything yet because I don't know what would be a good to buy. Thanks for the help guys! I am eager to get on again!

If I have installed outside of the steam environment can I still ... let me check ...
