First LMG upgrade

Is there one worth having? They all seem to do less dmg than my starter, with the exact same accuracy. Only rate of fire and reload speeds are increased.
I'll trade some dmg for accuracy, but not just to throw more rounds downrange with no boost to effectiveness.
Am I missing something, I've never been a min/maxer. Can I increase damage of weapons through cert upgrades to ammo/scope/etc..?

Shift key for me.

Yeah, shift key makes my go run, but is it possible to toggle run on to have always active? My pinky is getting tired.

The = key is cruise control for vehicles, dunno if it works for running too as I have never tried it.

I'm not sure I've never looked and there's occasions that could be a bad thing.
