If we got any more disconnected we wouldn't need a server.

Cross Hairs - Leave them off.
Waypoints - They are convenient but can live without them.
Perks for Donations - Absolutely, but no weapons. It is a starter toolbelt item or clothing.
Map - Vote it up. Those TPG'rs that play DayZ have a very diverse taste for these maps. May want to include in the discussion talk about rotation?
Vehicles - 2 choppers is good and more than the minimum for the vehicles but none of that 200+ vehicle BS. Put enough out there so people find them but rare enough that they are fought for.

Keep in mind the stand alone should be right around the corner so we may get the mod server up only to want to convert it to the stand alone. I can only assume that the player base for the mod will take a severe hit when the stand alone is released.

I mean you guys play it a ton... Therefore have a "hardcore" view of the game. Hell TPG should have had a Day Z server earlier I agree. I'm going to try and add a poll to this so admins can quantify the needs and wants of the current day z community.

Votes cast. I have a lot of experience with DayZ, but only on Chernarus, so I'm deferring to the judgement of everyone else on map choice.

What we need to be thinking about is not what we want but what will draw people into our servers. If we can increase our player base then we can end up with more than one or two servers and try to fit everyone's wants. The first thing we have to do is to get the server paying for itself. So that most likely means Chernarus as the map, a perk system of some sort, hardcore mode and most importantly hacker control.

If DayZ at TPG ends up being a place for 8 or 10 of us to hang around and play the game we like it will not live very long.

How much per month does a Day Z server cost?

Its time for our regs to get creative, make some noise in the public eye. Cherno Journo is awesome. We need someone excitable and who has a massive PC to make a you tube video. Use Frankies ideas - show some exciting Day z action and dub voice over the top and get the public aware. We almost need a central hub for people to upload videos and footage of Dayz TPG, then someone can comp and stitch the stuff together. I think Cherno Journo is awesome - what can we do which has the same amount of excitement and entertainment as that? Man Hunt? Town control? Events are a big part but we need someone to be the videographer!

PASSION PEOPLE!

Lets show some passion for this, BMRF is successful because they want to see people play and enjoy it!

1. I think we need a server like yesterday. I know this is being worked on, but maybe we should just setup a private hive server and ask forgiveness instead of waiting for permission? It sounds like the key thing isn't required for private servers, but I am not positive on this fact.

2. TPG has a Twitch account any time anyone wants to stream their DayZ activities. Just contact me, and I can help you get setup.

3. If anyone does not have the ability to stream, but is willing to record, we can setup a dropbox folder to throw raw footage into, so that someone can edit it. Then we can upload it to YouTube and promote it on the home page.
