Well, what is it?

Me personally I think it has to be the knight with the 2nd hammer. Something about the overhand swing when I connect your head to your ass that's so gratifying.

Close second would be archer with the javelin . It was actually the first wep I upgraded.

I'm pretty partial to the maul myself as well, and you're going to have to pay the royalties on the connecting someone's head to their ass comment

Other than that, I do really well with the 3rd Vanguard spear, but recently I've been having more fun as an archer, switching between the 3rd-tier Warbow and the Heavy Crossbow, depending on the situation. Warbow for when things are fairly fluid and I need a higher fire rate, Heavy Crossbow when things are more static. During the siege on Agatha's King, there's something very satisfying about using the Heavy Crossbow to cut down Agatha archers from the walls, and murder anyone who gets on the ballistas.

I like the vanguard, but I switch between primary and secondary weapons. I like the extra durability, but the speed of the short swords.

Then try Knight with the morning-star. It's got a nice, quick attack and the knight has even more durability. Of course, equipping the big shield slows the attack down somewhat, but you can always equip something else instead.

I like the ability to switch based on who I'm fighting though and go back to the pole-arm (or wahtever the tier 3 thingie is for vanguard).

And that's generally what I do with the Knight. I'll use my maul (T2 hammer) most of the time, but switch to the morning-star and shield when confronting some of those fast little bastards. I won't always switch though, since there're few things more satisfying then the crunch of an archer or MAA head squishing.
