Not trying to derail this thread, however some of the blanket statements should be more carefully picked. Myself, as well as a few others here have been playing since the mod's release and though I don't speak for everyone, never once have I combat logged, glitched a tent/gun/car/water/whatever, picked up a glitched weapon, ghosted an enemy...the things that "every one of us has done." Just because it makes sense to assume doesn't make everyone guilty. Granted, these things are ludicrously common and it's fair to assume that most have done something or other at least once, but I doubt that I am the only exception to your blanket statement.
While I would concur that a ban for combat logging seems harsh, these two specifically are rules placed on the splash page that "every one of us" sees when we join the server.
5. Do not use teamspeak to ghost your enemy. TS is set up with channels and people should be able to feel safe to discuss private information in the channel that they are playing in. This is something that we will all have to help each other enforce.
6. Do not combat log. While the game has been adjusted to help prevent this it is still possible. Proven combat logging will be dealt with as cheating and an unban request will have to be processed as such.

Re: No warnings and no forgiveness
Sryx,
The situation is this. You denied ghosting when the evidence and testimony was clearly against you. Your denial of the events is what led to your 30 day appeal decision. If you would have told the truth, admitted you were in the wrong; your vote may have favored a removal of the ban, and at most you would have been banned for 3-4 days. This was not the case. You knew what you did, you didn't fess up, you remained banned.
It's as simple as that.
Don't try to bring in nonsense by stating that we've all use exploits and cheated in the past as that claim is completely ignorant and irrational.
You can appeal when the time comes. Your fate here lies within the responses you give and the respect you show to your fellow community.
