Illegal items spawning in?

About a week ago I was cycling the north barracks at NWA when I came across a camo g36c sd, with an empty metal ammo box on top? Thinking nothing of it I equipped the g36 by clicking the scroll wheel, the animation followed but the gun disappeared? Glitched maybe? Told some guys about the incident and was informed that the gun was not even in the game!? If I'm not mistaking I overheard killbox having the same problem, he can comment more on the subject. Also last night I came across a heli crash within 50 m of the factory near polana. I found one box of PKM ammo which I believe is a lmg, havnt ever seeing it before I threw it in my backpack and carried it for an hour till I dumped it for space. Also got told this Is not in the game. Just wanted to bring this to your guys attention.

I think the G36 camo SD is new on this latest patch? Anyone confirm?

Those guns are not illegal they are in the newest patch. However those should only be spawning on chopper crashes and not inside baracks.Maybe they are glitched because of the spawn inside and as you have said i did found a cammo inside the baracks and it did disapear. The new patch is buggy as hell.

So it is not only our server,all others have been having those issues.

Hope that all be fixed a bit with the new hotfix

You sure that was an SD g36? Having it disappear is strange. And that ammo is also odd; but the graphics vs actual kte

Item are hosed on a few.

The G36C Camo SD is a legal weapon for Arma II, but was not added to the DayZ loot tables. For the record, there is no full length G36 (AKA not a C designated G36) that comes with a suppressor, just a flash suppressor.

As for the PKM, I think what happened is due to the introduction of the Mi-8, which uses modified PKMs as the door guns, the game attempts to spawn in ammo for it so that they can be reloaded, but as we know, reloading chopper weapons doesn't work quite yet.

Spawning behavior has indeed been strange. Texan and I found the M40A3 (on separate occasions), which should only spawn on helicopter crashes, in the North Barracks. Methinks the "weighted loot generation array" fix that's coming with the hotfix will nix this little bug.
