Cant really fault the guy for taking a vacation, and climbing Everest at that. Im sure there will be hordes of whiners bitching because hes taking some time off. Screw em', its not like we paid for a pre-order and he skipped town with our money.

Hah, no kidding. BF3 reference indeed. The game isn't about to come out anytime soon. There's no absolute release date. Even if there was, I'd rather have a great DayZ that sticks than a good DayZ that falls away when the next big thing comes out.

My problem is that I have doubt. I'm worried he and the developers are going to have taken all this time to get this game "perfect" and there will still be loads of glitches, hackers, and all that non-sense. It is my opinion that if you are saying that you are taking all this extra time to make a game "perfect" it god damn better be perfect. There are no excuses now for any flaws. You have all the time in the world to test and fix things.

As true as this is, i still expect some bugs or glitches, i just think its the nature of the beast. I certainly don't think that Rocket taking 2 months off at this time will have a negative impact on the final release. If he were to take time off say 6 months ago, yeah, then i think we might have ended up with a steaming pile of rehashed mod code.
