DayZero Podagorsk

This evening we were lucky enough to team up with a member of the DayZero Dev team, MulleBoy, while playing the DayZero Chernarus mod. Through our lock down of Berezino and eventual take over of the North East airfield Mulleboy shared with us some interesting points about the DayZero mod as well as letting us know that they are finalizing a new map called Podadorsk! For those of you that played the Escape mod Podagorsk is one of the maps we loved as it was very similar to Chernarus with its woodland landscape and hilly terrain. Well Zombies.nu is revamping the map for DayZero and it looks like it will be amazing.

Below is the launch trailer for Podagorsk as well as a talk thru of what they are going to do with the map. Mulleboy said that they are expecting the map to be released soon so keep your eyes open for it as it is sure to be fun.

Mulleboy was very cool indeed. Was glad to finally get answers to all my questions about the DayZero mod. On top of that he was an excellent teamplayer, even though I had a "friendly fucking" incident where I killed him on accident. The trailer looks amazing and I will definitely be playing the Podagorsk map.

Krom how the hell did you randomly group up with him on the coast? Anyways glad you are a true DayZ player and didn't shoot on site when you met him.

This map is looking great...can't wait for it to be released!
I am a bit burned out from Chernarus.

As I was running back to Berizino after being shot in the back by Raith, the other "friendly fucking incident" that night, I came across Mulleboy in the town just south of Berezino asking if I could help him get a tire for his car. At first I was going to just run by as I was thinking that I was just going to be shot as soon as I got close but thought twice and turned back to help. After no luck finding a tire in the immediate area I asked him if he wanted to join us in Berezino which he obviously accepted. So to those who always shoot on sight, you may want to take a minute and find out who you may be shooting at.

I say hello and make friends and DIE every time, Krom trips over someones feet fixing a car and they run into the woods holding hands..............not sure which one wins now that I think about it :P .

Seriously though the map looks great. Smaller than Chernarus but there doesn't seem to be as many huge mountains like other maps. Seems as though the plans are to make people work together more (No OP sniper rifles such as the DMR - well not really OP but a really, really good rifle for all situations).
