They need to increase difficulty of stealthing on overkill... Never even see cops anymore save the few missions agro is hard coded into (e.g. Big oil, watchdogs,)

    Re: character skill build planner

I specced into the "Inside Man" Skill last night. This is an Incredibly useful skill, it unlocks the Expert Driver on all missions in which an Escape might occur. It eliminates the chance of having to do an Escape side mission. I love this Skill a measly 23k to get a driver that knows his shit is WELL worth it IMO. Bain can go eat a bag of dicks as far as I'm concerned he hires the worst of the worst. Drivers, Pilots, Drill vendors, AI.....you get my drift.

The biggest Escape Gripe I have is when you buy the Window side Pickup truck on Night club where you drop your loot bags into a separate getaway car, and then you end up doing an Escape. Low and behold Your loot is suddenly in the Van? WTF?

    Re: character skill build planner

I spec'd out of my ghost skill and back to a revised version of my rife-centric build.

BUILD LINK(so far) BUILD LINK(end game)
I abandoned the ghost tree altogether (someone else can handle bagging up my corpses on stealth missions) and went heavy into Tech and MM.

The Titan safes are a PITA and cut down on the OP'ness of C4, but the maxed out drill speed and reliability does help. I think they also weakened the Ti safes a bit with update 12 (AKA the "stop yer QQ" patch).

However, the top tier Tech skills are really awesome: Mag Plus is aaamaaazzzig: who doesnt love 25rnds in the 308 or 49!rnds in the AMR and 30rnds in the deagle !?!?!
It makes taking down bulldozers much easier.

The key combo's of the Tech and MM skill trees are all about improving accuracy and reducing recoil
so far I have sharpshooter, rifleman, leadership, and equilibrium. My plan is to continue up the MM tree until I ace Kilmer. Esp on higher levels, hitting hs's and hitting repeat.

The other nice combo is between the bulletproof skill and the aced diehard skill which cuts the delay until recharge begins. They recently buffed the bulletproof skill and it really does make a difference.

All this works together to make rifles and pistols very fun. My 308 is max out will a full bar of accuracy and just under a full bar of damage. My AK and AMR are both missing their ultimate foregrips, and my deagle is missing the long-shlong silvers barrel mod. They're all also decked out with lasers and good sights.

I can blow and drill safes, but my build and preferred style of game play is all about support and holding back the tide of cops while my teammates complete the objective.
On the higher levels being a good killer is all about being able to repeatedly blast lots of baddies (or goodies depending on how you look at it) in the face and I think rifles are more fun an offer more variety than the shotties that everyone is limited to who goes enforcer.

I actually really like most of the changes that they made with update 11/12. Overkill SHOULD be a challenge and you SHOULD need a good crew in order to effectively fight your way out of one when the shit hits the fan. Otherwise the game would get real boring real fast.
