Then, that's every reason to not buy anymore early access games.
I'm still betting it's gets released. Bohemia has been around for a while, I don't see them fucking their customers. However, fucking your customers (or trying to) seems to be the new thing. So, anything could happen. ToS or not, I see a huge shitstorm coming if they don't release it. $30 a pop, across millions of users isn't chump change.Kraker Jak liked this post

Re: Rocket Leaving BI and DayZ. "I feel like DayZ is a fundamentally flawed concept"
So you mean to say you never played SA? So then how can one comment on something like this if they have never played one hour of the thing in which he/she speaks. I don't wish to argue that's not what I am here for. I thought I would present some logical non over dramatic dialog for which maybe you guys can draw some reasonable opinions. So far I have failed and as usual nobody listens to anybody when we have a debate or conversation.
My final thoughts. I hope Rocket has a good time with his new venture and I am reasonably confident I didn't waste my money because he is leaving DayZ ins some great hands.

Hey... if you got your 30 bux worth of enjoyment from the alpha and don't look at it as a pre-purchase then good deal. It's worth the money to you.
I wasn't impressed with the mod all that much seeing it for what it was. PVP with some zombies thrown in. So I stayed away from the SA. I also saw, from everything coming out about the SA that it was a cluster in the making. You don't have to have bought a ticket to the superbowl to see that Denver sucked.

Waiting on a 500 dollar charge back to my cc from the dealership. Soon as I get that I'll buy the game and put up a server.

Just because I made comments doesn't mean I don't know what it means. You were bitching because the game was unfinished ....no early access game is finished two months after the release. Do I think his "flawed" argument is BS? Yep. Do I think your argument about early access games being unfinished has merit? Nope...because none of them are finished.

Puuuuuuhhhlease. Take a step back and think about this situation for a moment, You expect me to believe You know what Early access means even when you make statements that sound like you don't. and You hold the same expectation for me? Kinda one sided don't you think? Take yer outta your ass.

Re: Rocket Leaving BI and DayZ. "I feel like DayZ is a fundamentally flawed concept"
This thread is going in Fucking circles guys.
Rocket is heading home to New Zealand to make a new game, I'm curious as to what he means by fundamentally broken. He may just be tired of how prevalent pvp became, he loved the survival aspect. He did mention he argued with his team allot - I'm guessing he had problems convincing them that players would like having to test blood prior to getting a blood bag then administering it with a saline bag etc... again just speculation but the average player like myself and Merritt don't necessarily want those features. I'm interested to see how this turns out and I'm pretty sure with rocket off the helm we will see dramatic jumps forward.

Re: Rocket Leaving BI and DayZ. "I feel like DayZ is a fundamentally flawed concept"
Yeah as the OP I have since cooled my jets on him leaving. It seemed more or less planned and not so much shooting from the hip. I am just annoyed with the timing when the game is so very broken. I still think he is wrong to plan to leave a game in a sorry state and leave with my money to make his own studio. That is BS and not the attitude a developer should have if they want to be successful with the early access model. I won't be going near anything else he is involved with.
I really don't wish the game ill will by any means, I really hope it comes together... I just wonder what this fundamental flaw is. Is the architecture crap and will never support a ton of zombies, items and players? Who knows.
He released a video last night showing hunting and talking about persistent items. Apparently they have a bunch of people on the team that have a background in hunting games. Which is an odd thing to have a background in. Maybe you are right Max that his vision is survival and less PVP, and a strong hunting system is something he thinks the game needs more than dedicating resources to zombies.SmokenScion liked this post
