Re: My little thread about how important TPG is to me.
Heh, I think we were in mostly the same boat. And nowadays after having played with various 13-16 year olds, I am incredibly thankful and amazed at how they ever let me into HRD...Imagining the type of gamer/person I'd be without the values I learned at TPG/HRD is kind of disturbing, to be honest
Also I miss BF2/2142 I regret not going to that little BF2 going away event
I definitely didn't play with you much(I think I'd mostly went back to BF2 after you came around), but I can empathize with pretty much everything you said so I'm posting anyway. My game time this year has been scattered around BF1, Overwatch, Warhammer:TW, and might be some Destiny 2 in the future. It's nice to see your post, peace yo.Knee of Justice liked this post

Kraker messaged me but I didn't have it installed at the time. But I'm down for it. Saturday nights are usually bad for me as it's my pen and paper gaming group's night... We've been on hiatus for a couple weeks but I can't guarantee that won't change. A little more than 10 seconds heads up and I'll see what I can do.
Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them. -- Bigdog

I haven't put nearly as much time in TPG servers as most you and I regret it. Playing bf2, bf3, bf4, tf2 and l4d2, with y'all was some of the greatest gaming experiences I've had even If I was quite mediocre and never stayed around for that long. Its a shame that the classic community run dedicated server style gaming is dead. Joining a TPG server knowing that no matter what I'll have team mates who will actually be team mates is something that may never happen again. I'd be up for weekend l4d2 or maybe some CSGO. Though I tried playing the later with some of you a year or two ago and was way under ranked and got demolished.
I'm also going back to school for a third attempt and I won't graduate till I'm 25 too so I can relate to that pain.Knee of Justice liked this post

Good to see you around Knee! I know what you mean. Almost everything you said is basically the same for me. Boy do I miss the good ol' days of being able to hop on BF2 and find a server full of everyone. BF4 was that way too. Sadly BF1 killed the communities :/ I miss playing with all y'all....

I hope one day community style gaming can come back. It was such an awesome experience and I'm privileged to have those memories.
Yeah we should play again sometime.SpecOpsScott, roadhog0 liked this post

David-Gen, Howitzer88, and I were reminiscing about BF2/2142 last night - The TPG community was, and still is, a huge part of my gaming experience and by far my favorite gaming memories.
The games are different but the people are still around, let's get some games in! My steam friends list still shows people on every night, and the TPG discord server has been a great way to organize games and keep in touch with people.
