Re: Console gaming dieing?
I wouldn't say I use my consoles a lot anymore (I own all 3 big ones), but occasionally titles still catch my eye and I dust them off lol. Madden, Gears of War, Halo, etc. Also, I can't for the life of my explain why, but I prefer RPGs on consoles as opposed to the computer. Unfortunately, there haven't really been very many good RPGs to come out in awhile. There's always the Final Fantasy series, but I've yet to actually beat a single one lol, even though I've bought every one since 7 (except for the sequels, since I haven't beaten the originals yet lol).

Console gaming is not dying at all. The entry barriers for PC gaming are much higher as even a moderate gaming PC will run you about $800 for everything to get you started... plus the cost of games. Consoles have half of the cost for entry giving the consumer a lot of extra money for games right off the bat.
Of course, consoles have inferior graphics and controller limitations, but in reality, they just make sense for a lot of gamers, and you can still rent games for them, which is plus for those that want to spend a week an play through a game, then give it back. You can't do that on Steam.
I just got a PS Vita because I have been doing more traveling for work and the long trips get pretty boring playing touch screen games on my tablet or phone. Now I can just wreck through the city in Need for Speed: Most Wanted during most of the flight (until the battery dies). It has it's purpose. Once I get home again, I don't touch it.

In order for me to take anything seriously the 24 news channels report, It has to be verified with at least one other source.
Opinions must be verified with 5 other sources, before I realize that I don't care for infotainment opinion and find a real source to consider.
Honestly, Didn't these idiots spend the last three months stoking the idiots imaginations with predictions of doom?"The bravery of idiots is bravery none the less."

Re: Console gaming dieing?
I wouldn't necessarily say that console gaming is "dying", it just slowed down. When the new line of consoles come out in the near future I think that it will blow up again. I was a console gamer for awhile up until recently, There's advantages and disadvantages to both sides.
