PC only gaming?

i signed up w you guys after hearing from a friend that u guys were adult TEAM gamers rather than 8 yr old kids screaming or crying over the speakers during an online game. i do enjoy the TEAM aspects of online games as i lost intest in all out deathmatch a long long time ago.

now, i have to say cash has dried up over the past 3 yrs and i'm down to using a XBOX for gaming online [my pc is good but wo a 512mb vram grfx card and decent PSU it just cannot run modern games], so i wanted to know...

is this community purely for PC gamers?
bearing in mind i'm from the UK i believe the lag may cause me some problems too, right?

the only game i have that u guys play is BF3 [on xbox].
but i have a strong feeling this is purely a PC gaming community.

Welcome to TPG.

Yes, we are primarily PC gamers, but we do have a console section:
Console Gaming

It's not very active.

Can a mod move this topic to a more suitable section?

First, welcome to TPG. Nice to see new faces from across the pond (we have a few but more is better).
Second, as Guyver mentioned we're are primarily PC focused. However many of our members (affectionately called "regulars") are also console gamers.

Guyver provided a link to the console game forum and that's not a bad place to start but it's just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the community here. We span a large number of games, topics, and platforms and since many of the games we play are cross platform as well it stands to reason that you will probably see some of the same game discussions on a PC-centric forum as you would on a Xbox-centric one.

Take a look around and feel free to ask any questions you want. Most here are quite helpful.

thnx, mate. i have a feeling the lag may be an issue tho.
my pc is powerful but lacks decent grfx [card],digi monitor [ i have a 12 yr old CTX crt monitor STILL!!] and PSU [oh, and OS-still running winXP Pro SP3!!].

Just cause you're primarily a console gamer for the time being doesn't mean you shouldn't stick around though. Strats for BF3 are good across all platforms(I'm assuming of course that all forms of BF3 have the same maps). So you're more than welcome to stick around and get involved in the discussions or raise some yourself. Who knows you may end up getting the Pc version or any of the other games we play. Then you'll already be familiar with the people you should hook up with.
