Well first of all there is no way every dev would switch to the xbox model. Second as you have seen in the past those models have been mired in scrutiny. Ubisoft has already given up on uplays DRM features and EA already killed its DRM a few months ago.

They really killed it man. I never thought they would take such a direct stab at Microsoft but they simply destroyed Microsoft and then pissed on the remains.

I wouldn't say they destroyed Microsoft, rather Microsoft killed it's self and Sony just pissed on it's corpse.
I mean it just a standard practice that's been going one for well, since the beginning of trade. Don't get why people act like Sony is now the most consumer friendly company in the world.
