Super Smash Brothers TPG
It's probably not hard to guess that I'm a huge super smash brothers fan. I'm the type of guy who is probably going to buy the Wii U and only get smash brothers and nothing else. That being said, I was really excited to see the new smash game announced at E3. So I guess this topic is one way to contain my hype for the game and see if anyone here shares my excitement for the game.
Some videos and links for your perusal
The Smash Brothers
If you have time, I highly recommend this documentary on smash brothers. Its a nine part documentary which shows some behind the scenes footage of competitive smash brothers and explains almost everything about the competitive scene. Honestly I just think its really well documented and a great view for any gaming enthusiast, not only smash fans.
bonus video: I got a kick out of this. Not included in the actual documentary
Megaman joins the Battle
Some hype footage of megaman in smash brothers.
Gameplay footage of megaman vs mario (ignore the annoying commentary)
Wii Fit Trainer joins the Battle
Villager joins the Battle
Smash Brothers Developer Direct E3 2013
Some gameplay and developer commentary on the game
Official website (updates somewhat infrequently)
Official Site - Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U

Now time for my personal predictions: I believe Mewtwo and Pac-Man will make it in this game. In a press conference, the Pokemon CEO, Junichi Masuda, was asked by an audience member whether Mewtwo would be in the next smash game. Junichi stumbled for a second and seemed unsure about what to say before he was cut off by Smash Brothers creator Sakurai (who was sitting in the audence), saying "We are thinking about it." It seems strange that Sakurai would stand up out of the audience to save Junichi from having to answer. Although it might also just be baseless conjecture on my part.
Now for Pac-Man.. this one's a little more outside the box, but Namco (the creators of Pac-Man) are working closely with Sakurai on the new Smash game, and it would make sense to add their most recognizable character to the game. This rumor is a little more abstract.
I'll keep this thread updated if anything interesting comes along. Thanks for reading and I hope to play many of you fine people in smash! (because it will have online capability)

Re: Super Smash Brothers TPG
I prefer the Mega Man Legends look, but since that's a PS game I see why they didn't want to do that. Either way, I'm glad he's finally in it.
I also don't understand why they changed the look of the game back to the way it was. You can clearly see that they went back to a more cartoony look to the characters. While that fits with Nintendo's style(and that of the first two), Brawl looked way better. I liked the more realistic look of the characters in Brawl, it was a nice change to Nintendo's cartoony feel that they get some times. Mario was a good example of it. You could really see the jean textures in his overalls, they looked like actual jeans. Here the textures of his overalls are flat and uni-colored again.
Unfortunately I'll have to skip this one. I'm not gunna buy a WiiU just for this, and I think the 3DS one looks like ass(Also cause I don't play with my 3DS anymore).

Re: Super Smash Brothers TPG
I dont blame you. It's a little absurd that I'm going to buy the WiiU just for one game, but I'm a diehard fan. I agree on the 3DS. I will not be buying one of those because they give me a headache and they honestly just suck ass.
I think the cartoony look theyre going for isn't necessarily a step backward in graphics.. just different. Or should I say, more similar to the style they had in the past. I think they're going for a cell-shade look. In one of the videos it was said by a Nintendo official that they wanted to make the colors simpler and brighter so they would pop out more. I can see why that doesn't appeal to some, but I like bright and simple colors. It probably speaks to my ADHD squirrel-like characteristics.
He seems like a nice guy from my experiences with him. He is a bit quiet though.[/]
