need to fucking learn to follow a call, GOD DAMN.
Making people rush in just to lose every fucking time like lemmings is retarded as well, and a cunt thing to do, and I don't fucking see why it is not on par with goddamn baiting. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU CALL A STRAIGHT RUSH WHEN THEY HAVE NUMBERS BY 3 OR 4? Then fucking MOCKING people because they called slow play before you could call that rush? NONTEAMPLAYER.
Fucking cockbites.

Re: You mother fuckers
You kind of have 2 contradicting statements in there, Corpse. You want people to follow the call, but disagree with the balls-to-the-wall straight rush tactics some people like to call? I think that's what I'm reading. If it is, that's something you're going to have to get used to. Some callers don't like to call slow plays, and calling over the established caller is a no-no.
Either way, you may want to consider toning it down a little. Ranting like that usually doesn't get you anywhere.

The first part is about fuckers on one map, the second is about another team on another map.
The first map, half the team just outright refused to listen to calls. Slow Play? They would fucking rush the site and try to take it. BANANA! Nope, they slow played mid instead. Fake mid and wait to rush banana? lol, lets "hide" in the middle of this wide open alley and get shot the fuck up and give away the call.
And those were just the people I knew weren't noobs.
The second map the fucker kept calling rush B every time, and the few times they weren't making EVERYONE go B (but everyone still ended up in B anyways) they ordered me to go get myself killed. Again. And again. STOP FUCKING FORCING ME TO LOSE HERE, I'M NOT YOUR PERSONAL FUCKING DECOY SLAVE, LET ME HAVE SOME FUCKING FUN! I didn't want to fucking get killed for no god damn reason AGAIN, and that's why I shouted a call over them, because they were being complete dicks and making us start to lose.

Dancing, I get it. Been out of CSS for a bit, but I'm sure nothing has changed much. Straight up, hardcore rushing is a TPG staple. It's fun, effective and can lead to great teamplay. HOWEVER, I am in agreement with you, that too many people have just made it an irreversible mindset that "rushing" (regardless of situation or circumstances) always equates to "teamplay". This simply isn't true. While rushing is an art form and takes vast amounts of teamplay, suicide rushing has become the god of teamplay for a lot of players. They have decided, that rushing straight up and needlessly dying outweighs intelligently playing slower as a team in terms of defining teamplayers.
There seems to be a stigma that non balls to the wall type play is solely for those who aren't teamplayers. This as well simply isn't true. Unfortunately there are very few individuals who understand the concept of teamplay not equaling dying as quickly as possible.

Re: You mother fuckers
If rushing is the call, you rush. Its pretty simple. Assuming the person calling is being serious about it and not goofing around.
If you have a better way of doing things, make sure you speak up first when the map loads and make calls. Then you'll be in charge. Otherwise...nihilanth311, Stephen Haddad liked this post

This stigma is kind of going away. Calls are getting alot more complicated than when I first got here. OTOH....if a rush is called...people better fucking rush. You bet your ass I'll call 10 B rushes in a row if that's what it takes to get people to follow the call. After a few the trash seems to disappear.

Totally agree, however, there is no sense in banging your head against a wall. I played css here for many years here at TTP & TPG (not so much lately), and have personally experienced irresponsible shot calling. Voicing an opinion in game is one thing, but when it becomes argumentative, it kills team chemistry and is just as bad for teamplay as having people not follow a call.
Seeing as there is no hierarchy of power on a team, it can get "tiffy" when the calls are obviously not working.Last edited by rock_lobster; 08-15-12 at 06:42 PM.

Re: You mother fuckers
Ah, now that's much more clear. If you disagree with the calls, it needs to be done at some point other than the beginning of the round. Make suggestions, ask if you or someone else can start making the calls; something other than calling over someone else is always the better course of action. Because that causes a lot of unnecessary confusion. Maintaining a level head while doing so, I've never seen a problem with someone stepping aside and letting another pick up the calls if theirs weren't working. But, in the world of TPG CS, the call is the law, even if you may not agree with it.
Keep in mind that we don't have a working admin mod at the moment, so nonteamplayers will be the norm during the beta. Also, most are just trying to get a feel for the game, and aren't exactly looking for an uber-serious match at the moment. Just keep making calls and communicating, but don't get bent out of shape if things aren't going your way. People will come around if you're vigilant and keep a cool head. This is the time when we can really establish ourselves from the rest in the CSGO community.Stephen Haddad liked this post
