I like the game as is, so I won't try it. I know Max was asking for something like this.

Its fullbright. I wouldn't want to use this and Valve will definitely be patching this out.

What I want is regular LDR. HDR just makes Source games sluggish for me even though I still have 200+ fps.
    We can do better.

God they ruined lighting in GO. It's my biggest complaint as far as looks go for the game. They went all out on "dynamic shadows" but then completely missed adding dynamic lights. There are 0 dark areas in the maps, and that to me is stupid. The vents in Nuke aren't even dark, and there are no light fixtures in them...wtf is that? It's unnatural and it's ugly as hell.

On the contrary, I think this is one of the best things they changed. No more having to turn TV mode on just to see people sitting in a corner or under a train.

I don't think hiding in the dark has any place in a game like CS.

I've never been a gamer who cares about looks I wouldn't mind my game looking shitty as long as it gives my laptop an fps boost. Although turning light map off does give you a cheap advantage in any fps game.

I just wish I could at least turnoff 3d_sky 0 all those pointless buildings and trees outside of maps is a waste of render to me. But of course the new CVAR blocks everything >.<

it shouldn't be that dark, but it also shouldn't be that bright. It makes the lighting look unrealistic...which just kills the feeling for me when I play. The game as is, is to bright for me and it ruins the feel of the maps.
