Anybody else have connection issues (ONLY) in CSGO?

My computer died a while back and I finally got around to getting a new one. Unfortunately, when I play CSGO, I can only stay connected to a server for a couple of minutes at a time. I'm not losing my internet connection, just connection to the server. I tested it with another Steam game (CSS) and was able to stay connected for 45 minutes (when I manually disconnected because I got bored). Also, I'm not on wireless.

I have Windows 8, and I've read about other people having similar connection issues with CSGO in Windows 8. Have any of you TTPers had similar issues in CSGO? I wouldn't care so much, but CSS here is dead, and I need my teamplay.

EDIT: TTPers...lol I'm away for just a few weeks, and I already reverted back to calling it TTP.

WAAAAAAAHHH!!!! It's not even playable. The worst part? I abandoned vafa in a priming 2v2 and he probably did better without me.

I had a similar problem when I first got the game. I had to verify the integrity of the game cache to get it to work. Open Steam, select library, right click CSGO, select properties/local files/verify integrity of game cache. Also make sure all of your hardware drivers (GPU, Motherboard, networking, Sound...ect) are up to date.

I had the same issue immediately after installing GO and verifying integrity fixed it

Sometimes I get random time outs which I didn't ever used to get but its probably just my ISP... But other than that I haven't had connection issues but apparently the other day since the update a few couldn't join competitive matches for some reason.
