Name changing hacker and how to get the steamid to ban

Hi.

Next time we get a name changing hacker in the server, you can figure out which steamid to ban and here's how.

You know what your own steamid is so wait till hacker changes to your name and enter status in console to bring up list of players and their steamids. You will find the duplicate player name on that list and decide which one is your steamid and which is not. Then ban the specific steamid.

Novakane, believe me, I was trying that. For the life of me, I was NOT seeing the duplicate name in the status list. You don't even need to wait for it to be your name. A name changers connection ID will be higher than the person with the same name.

or you wait for him to get X amount of kills(which isn't long) and just check the HLstats for the server for the person with the same number of kills(usually the highest). That's how I got his ID, and I wasn't even in the server haha.
