    A Small Change

    Hello

So I hate playing a whole side on 1 team. It gets annoying and boring sometimes. (especially T cause I hate the AK). I think we should add the feature of switching sides at half time (just like in competitive). It gives it more variety (kinda) and it is more fun and it will also make the game more even and fair. I really think it would be a great addition to the TPG CSGO server.

Doesn't really make it any more fair than the way it is now... Over the time it takes a team to get 15 or 16 wins the players that make up each team have changed quite a bit due to balances and players leaving and joining.

    If it ain't broke...

We have done something similar to this before, with an option to swap sides instead of changemap. Although it looks good on paper, 9 times out of 10 it doesn't end up that way. A lot of the time you will find the more skilled/talented players on the harder, objective side to balance the game out a bit. So when the teams swap, it makes it that much more difficult for the opposing side.

Also, there are a select few pro CT siders, that enjoy playing the easier side to pad their K/D. So when they get swapped to T side, they have a tendency to leave the game or suddenly have something else to do. So in theory this whole concept makes sense and I'm definitely all for it, however it doesn't always pan out the way it's supposed to.

Not to mention how the maps that we opted to swap on instead of changemap usually went on for like 90+ minutes.

I've played on servers that have the team swap and sometimes what's even worse is that after the switch, those K/D padders usually just blatantly switch right back to CT. However, with the type of community the tpg server has I think it might actually work out pretty well. So I think it's worth a shot; try it out and get some feedback. Oh, and hello forums.

I think it sounds like fun and could also help improve the concept of being a team player if you encourage the group to stay together both halves.

Then just change it so were not playing 15 round halfs. Make it first to 16 with 8 round halfs, or 10 round halfs.
