Re: CS Pro's gear and settings
Anybody care to shed some light on the best settings for this G400?
1. I recently discovered that I had acceleration enabled and turned it off. I had gotten used to it, but I've read that it hinders your ability to perfect your aim with muscle memory. Feels good so far with it off, but I definitely want to keep it on when using windows (i.e. not gaming). Is there something to be concerned about from muscle memory when using windows all day with acceleration ON and then gaming with it OFF?
2. I was trying to set my in-game from 2.4 to 2.71 per this 1920x1080 recommendation. Obviously that increases the sensitivity, so I was reducing my mouse DPI from 800 default to 700 to try and compensate. I couldn't get it quite right but some people have told me just to leave the DPI at the default and mess with the in-game.
3. The default polling was 500 and I tried increasing it to 1000 but it felt strange. Should I mess with this or leave it at 500?
Are there any other settings I should be concerned with? My windows sensitivity is default (right in the middle) and I'm on Windows 8 with the logitech software installed to tweak the mouse settings. RAW input is enabled in game.
Thanks guys.

Re: CS Pro's gear and settings
1. Keep acceleration off at all times. Your muscle memory won't ever improve when using it off in gaming and on in desktop. I can absolutely assure you of this. Also uninstall Logitech Gaming Software, the drivers.... Useless IMO.
2. Don't use those settings, I already mentioned earlier those settings are 100% wrong. Take a look at my post in page 2, post #19.
3. Default polling is actually 1000hz, unless you install drivers. You can check this mouseratechecker.exe.
If you're using a G400, use 800 DPI, uninstall the garbage drivers, and set your sensitivity in-game. Walla everything's good.Last edited by dmasteR; 01-02-13 at 06:18 PM.
