Re: What are the odds???
TPGers had two matchmaking lobbies going and we got matched with each other.

Re: What are the odds???
ok....completely ignore what I said
Personally, I play 5v5 matches most of the time now. Most of that time is spent with random people and not other regulars. This is because I prefer playing that format. Also, I don't always have time or desire to sit in the server and wait for people to come like i used to, especially when I can get a 5v5 match in 30 seconds or so usually.

You can't stop people from doing what they enjoy. I can list off many TPG regulars who play matchmaking and many of them I believe are admins. See I think you are being narrow-minded by saying that encouraging TPGers to play matchmaking together will reduce traffic on the community server. Me being me, I think it will actually help the traffic. Get people to start enjoying CS:GO again and giving them a reason to play.
Like I said, it's thinking outside the box. Coming up with new ideas. Now always sticking to old ideas that worked in the past, but might not work today. Adapt to the games coming out. Source didn't have an integrated matching making mode. So I can see why we might get upset with members going off and playing 5v5. But now that it's part of the game and extremely popular, it just makes us look stupid when we tell players they have to play on our server instead of matchmaking.
At the moment I don't see a lot of TPG regulars playing CS:GO. Many people didn't enjoy the game when it first came out. I was one of them. I have learned to enjoy the game from playing matchmaking with fellow TPG members. From doing this I have been more likely to play on the TPG GO server then I was when the game first came out. This is the thought process.

People are going to play matchmaking. It's part of the game and it's a guaranteed game any time you log on, whether TPG is full, or empty. 5v5 is a different style of play and different thinking process that a lot of people like. I don't really play it much any more, but it's damn near all I played in 1.x and my first 1000 hours of CS:S.

@ Guyver .. please step back and take a look at the fact that the way you are going about encouraging people to play on the tpg servers isn't working and only resulting in turning multiple threads into animosity and drama. - (YES, we need to do our best to support the tpg servers or they will be taken down)
@ Blonde .. I've had to read your long winded arguments about alternative games and the freedom to play what you want in 3 forums in last 2 weeks.. yes, you are putting up well stated arguments but they are only detracting from and hi-jacking threads. (YES, you have the freedom to do what you want and shouldn't be battered for doing so. Yes you are a big supported of all things TPG)
If you guys want a debate on this topic, why don't we start one titled as such in the high drama forum and you guys can duke it out there sparing the rest of us just trying to follow what's going on in the gaming forums.
As the other thread has already been moved, I'm locking this thread before the bs boils over from the other one.
In the meantime, anyone wanting to stay connected with the TPG CSGO community, please make sure you're on the TPG Priming group that has been used for well over a year now to promote our server.
