Well to be fair, he's right. Esports are not like other sports. The training is not the same, nor is the salary.

MLG won't just drop the game because of this. It has way too many players, viewers, and money associated with it. I am excited about MLG getting into CS though because we might see a major in NA now.

The only way to eliminate cheating at these things would be to provide the computers at the time of the tourney... Install an image to the machine directly prior to match start... and inspect the machine to see if anything was installed after the match using actual computer forensics. Also inspect the images after-the-fact for tampering.

40% of the CSGO pros don't use cheats, and the people that were caught are not even considered the best.

As for how the hack works, its basically a silent aimbot (non-visible) that only corrects the aim if the crosshair is already almost on target (think of a less aggressive version of console auto-aim). So it makes good players look like they are having a great game. This is why its hard to judge even while watching the player.

And to wrap up, Halo and CoD have no where near the strategy and depth of CS.

I don't mind it if I'm using a gamepad for PC/console mainly because aiming with the sticks is shit compared to a mouse, but I turn that off if I'm not using a mouse. Most games, it makes aiming harder. I think I've only played one game where that wasn't the case, and it made things waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy.
