Reinstate CS,GO server

It's real simple. If you don't want to participate in the attempt to revive it. Then don't. Nobody will hold any ill will if you don't. But coming in and basically going "you guys are idiots for even trying" is going to get you nothing BUT ill will. So wander on out and play some 5v5. Have fun. And let those that want to TRY do so in peace.

5v5 has been around forever, but only for competitive leagues. You couldn't just hop on Source and play 5v5, you had to join a league and make a team. Now that is the complete opposite with GO. You don't join community servers, you play 5v5 MatchMaking. Community servers are the minority. It's all about the professional teams and the tournaments. That is what brings the people in it. But you don't care about that. You can't adapt to the "new generation". You're stuck on the sidelines complaining how much you suck and wish you could keep up. Then you make excuses about "good ole days". Counter-Strike has never been more popular and that is because they introduced the MatchMaking system. It's one of a kind and unique...but not perfect.

Look I have no negative feelings on this matter. But we are wasting our time here. You are trying to bring something back that is long gone. Not only are we out-matched with MM, but we simply don't have the community to pull this off anymore. It sucks, I agree, but it's the truth. 1-5 people willing to prime a server is not going to cut it. We've been here before.

You caught me. I am jealous of your 1337 360 no scope skills, so I just sit here and cry all day hoping some day I can be as good as you... My fucking face. No wonder so many people get up in your shit and think you are a massive cunt. I like you, I really do, but your ego makes it super difficult sometimes.

As for your argument that 5v5 didn't exist except in leagues once again shows just how foolish you really are. I never got into 5v5, but know many people who did it pretty regularly, or even almost exclusively, via things like IRC back in the days of source. Does MM make it super simple? Of course. Did Valve invent the wheel when they implemented MM? Not even close.

I have thousands of CS hours ....spread across CS, CS:S, and GO. Are you not aware that Steam didn't track game hours until 2009? I played long before you even touched the game.

While I too am caught up in the matchmaking these days, I also miss the TPG server. Yes, I doubt that we can make it what it was...but we don't have to achieve our old numbers to make it successful.

TPG doesn't always have to be cutting edge on every game we play. If we can achieve mild success where the TTP OGs can come out of the woodwork and play on our server on a somewhat regular basis and partake in a game without the stress of worrying about ranks or matches, then that sounds alright by me. Doesn't have to be 2009 server population rocking every night for it to not be a waste of time.

Our BF4 server has a waiting list every night to get on. We host new maps and DLCs the day they release, we have a steady population of reservists, and we bring in new players to the forums on a regular basis by offering reserve slots. TPG still has it together enough to run and admin killer servers.

This thread is about getting the server back populated. Kanati got something up, if it is working, keep going, if it needs work let us know. If it is used, we will work to maintain what we can. Anything else, do not post I'm tired of seeing bitching, so if it works great, if not we tried oh no, but if you don't agree don't waste your time helping, or posting here.
