Time was minimal to set it up. And it doesn't cost anything extra to host it on our box. So no harm no foul. I'll leave it up as it's also no big deal to keep maintained. If it starts getting used then great. If not... meh.

What about setting up special match days like when we had the DoD:S server to at least have one day with warm bodies in the server?

Full disclosure, I don't have the game, and probably won't for a while at least (those knife skins do look awesome--why I might get it). This is mainly an idea to generate interest for the server. Those are a type of thing we did monthly for COD4 that helped drum up interest, and I remember them at least helping to fill the DOD:S server when they happened.

Is the server still up and running? I have been trying to connect and can't. I have been away from the game for a couple years, was hoping to hop on and play some. Maybe make it an almost daily habit again.

Awesome, but the old way is dead as it wasn't sustainable anymore. There are still plenty if people who play, just join the steam group and you can use it to group up and play.

nvm, in-game console said the server is running an older version. Needs to be updated? idk...
