Hey guys - I'm at my wit's end trying to figure this one out so I thought I'd post up here and see if any of you audiophiles have any ideas cause I'm fresh out.
I had some issues getting CSGO to run after upgrading to Windows 10 - I have everything working save for one last thing, my mic just absolutely won't work in-game. It works in Mumble and TS and Skype and every other thing under the sun, but not in CSGO - and the thing is, it was working in CSGO just fine until like a week ago. After a match when we were about to start a new one, there was just no voice.
CSGO detected the device, it's there, I can key-up, but it just doesn't do anything. I've tried every combination of enabling and disabling my audio card (HT Omega eClaro), my mobo integrated audio (Realtek HD), and my Headset's software audio (Logitech Gaming software). I've got every audio input/output disabled except for the headphones and mic, and I've even tried my other headsets. G933 doesn't work, G35 doesn't work either. Both worked fine on Windows 10 for several days, both work now, just not in CSGO.
In the Steam settings, I can test my mic and it works, I've verified in the console that my voice is enabled with voice_enable 1, and I've even seen a handful of people on the internet complain about this exact issue but I've tried all of their fixes and none of them work. I tried unbinding my different audio inputs, disabling enhancements, toggling the application control settings, etc. Even reinstalling the game, restoring defaults, removing my audio card and driver entirely, and the whole shabang. The thing is, the people complaining about this online experienced it on Windows 7 and 8 systems, so I don't think this is specifically a Windows 10 issue.
Anyone seen this one before or have any strange suggestions? I'm willing to try anything.

PM a link to this thread to Potemkine. He may be able to help.
His mic stopped working in BF4 after installing W10. It worked just fine in other games, as well as TS, but for a few weeks, he was silent in BF4. I don't know what he did to fix it, but it sure sounds like a similar problem to yours.

I'm sorry Salty, but I went bizerk trying to figure out the solution too. The only solution I ended up settling on was getting a new pair of headphones...Logitech G930's. Things are awesome!
Who made your headset? I'm wondering if drivers are the main cause and Windows not allowing it to work with multiple programs.

Lol I'm using Logitech's new g933s. My g35s don't work either though...maybe it's Logitech gaming software and Windows 10? What did you use before your 930s?
Guess I'll have to keep looking...Last edited by salty99; 10-29-15 at 07:03 PM.

Found the fix:
If you are using a Beta version of GeForce Experience, open it up and click the tiny arrow next to the "share" button and click "disable".
For some reason it doesn't play nicely with Steam-voice and disabling that instantly fixed all my issues. I cannot believe that was the culprit LOL. Figures it was something like that
