Okay, so I stood in line for two hours to play three rounds of Dust 2 on an XBox and report to your sorry asses.

Confirmed:

- Much, much better graphics. Looks very pretty. Comparable to Battlefield and Call of Duty.

Not Confirmed / Rumors:

- Damage might be reduced. It felt like it took more shots to kill a guy (probably my bad aim on controller, though).
- Not sure if headshots matter (again, my bad aim on controller). AWP still seems to kill in one shot, though.
- There are rumors of cross platform. From what I heard the bad PC gamers will be matched up against the good console players, or something to that degree or there will be some type of balancing so that PC gamers don't just stomp on console players (many an article and study has proven this already).
- There is a molotov. Don't know how much damage it does over time, but it looks pretty and seems neat.
- There is 'gun fire line animation' thingy. You know how it creates a line to show 'bullets traveling' from the person shooting to where they are shooting? It's like that. Totally stupid. However, not confirmed if this is just in spec mode or if in game mode - I'm pretty sure I saw it in game, though.

It sucks that I had to play on a controller, but I understand where they are coming from. I think they are trying to compete with the other console shooters (Battlefield and Call of Duty) and get new players and market and "present it like one of those games". Also, I think they are demo'ing on XBox at PAX so that 1337 PC players don't demolish the new players that are interested in the game and turn them off from it. Also think it's easier for new players to 'learn' on an Xbox controller instead of PC (and there are more console fps players at the PAX venue instead of pc) - again, the whole get new market thing.

Luckily I got a BETA key for all my troubles. w00t!

This is one of the things that concerns me....not that CS is ultra realistic, or anything, but what CT unit anywhere would use molotov cocktails?
