Thread: So, how did you get started playing CSS?

I know exactly how I started....
I was a punk who hung out in the strip mall and played at the arcade and competitive laser tag. Then this thing called a cyber cafe opened up across from laser tag. The dude was like we r setting this up and check it out for free. Between 1 nerdy thing I was like lets try this cyber cafe out played Q3 a lot then they got beta 5 of cs. Going from Q3 to cs was like wtf you have to buy weapons and no health this game blows. I was a troll I asked for a mag light skin for the knife and went behind people and hit them in their head while they were in a fire fight (in case you didn't know that caused their xhair to go all crazy back then). I conformed to the standard once no one wanted to play me in Q3 anymore. They had some competitive tourneys and after I got the hang of it I was hooked.

1999, my brother showed me fps gaming, with WASD and mouse. Deus EX, Half Life, Counter Strike and Unreal Tournament were my first ones.

For the first few months I played CSS I struggled immensely, probably had around a .5 kdr on the ttp servers. Just made me want to stick around until I got good.

TPG was like the second server I played on after starting CSS. My kdr is still suffering from those days -_-

Cod 2 was fun to play in competition.. I went to winter CPL in 03 for cod 2
