Sadly, it got people killed a lot in those 1v1's....

Sometimes it was epic when I played on the TF2 server (like when I was the spy and the music started...hehehe). I'm not biased.

clutching. Bringing home the win when the odds were stacked against you. Priceless.

Though I am signing in for the first time in 370 days, the void which cs:s left in me is definitively the exact same. Was there for the ...bigdog... shank, was not there for the low grab, but was always there as the 16 y.o. with no credit card therefore no reserved slot therefore waiting patiently until the server population was 21/24 and until "Sending client info..." became gunfire, grenades and 10 voices acting as one unit were proclaiming various terms which are incomprehensible to all of my since then friends. The mark left on me was great, nostalgic, inspiring and creative. Was there for many games on de_port even after it emptied because...port... If I had ever met a greater group of people would I be back here today to check in?

Things I miss:

CT roof rush on Pira
Around the world on Inferno
Port Boat rush w/ smokes, flashes
Intro music
A site rush on Chateau (including subsequent batman style drop into smoke ninja defuse).
All the old school TPG CS bad asses.

Around the world on Chateau was awesome as well. And double around the world was fun on any map.

I miss:

Boosting warehouse on Port before it was cool
Mardy never listening to a slow call
Mafia in GG pool(wtf was the name of that map)
Trying to find new ways of playing Office
scoutzkinvez and texture maps for giggles
...too many to type
