Steam Friends
Ok every one. I had a friend give me his steam account which had DOD. I played it for a bit and now I just purchased CS:S WOOT!!! I am still downloading it but I was wandering after doing some searching. Is there an easy way to add people to your friends list in steam? I you know there steam login or email account you can add them but like mine has nothing to do with my normal name. Can any one help me there.

My top 10 tips to winning versus
I just thought I would post this. I play on average 2 versus games a day... and am fairly good. But there are so many simple mistakes I see on both my team and the opponent. I find the more I play, the less patience I have. I have lost my patience a few times on my team mates... but have to remember that some times noobs should up and don't know whats goin on.
With that said, here are some random thoughts and tips for winning
1) When a survivor goes down, why is it that the other three come up to him and all hover around?? One should go over and help and the others should position themselves around spawn spots. For instance, someone goes down and there is a corner just a few feet away. Boomer spawns and hits all 4 and the guy on the ground dies. Could be prevented by just spreading out.
2) Get a mic. Enough said. You gotta have it in this game. When a horde comes, and people are getting pounced, there is no way to hear in the game without telling your teams mates you are pounced.
3) Why run in a group? Run with a little space in between you. This does two things... one, if a boomer shows up chances he will only get one or two instead of all four. Second, if a hunter pounces, you are less likely to get a stun from a nearby pounce. This saves a couple seconds and allows you to quickly shoot the hunter
4) Why melee a hunter off? Shoot him off. I can't tell you how many times, as infected, I pounce and get meleed, pounce again, melee, pounce, melee, etc. The most is 4 times. Usually you need a horde in the mix to get 4. But SHOOT THEM OFF!
5) Smoker/hunter attacks. Doesn't seem like this is used much. Its simple and very effective. Smoker gets behind and smokes one, hunter is waiting for who ever comes to help. Often times, only one person comes to help and the other two are oblivious.
6) Hunter pouncing on my smoked survivor. I know it can happen by accident sometimes, but many times I see it done intentionally. If I have someone smoked, go after someone else.
7) Spawning way to early. Whats the point? See this A LOT. Boomers are NOISY. I'm not saying you have to make it perfect but why spawn 30+ seconds before you need to? Spawn 5 seconds before you need to, or less. This doesn't apply to hunters so much, because they are silent unless in crouch mode
8) Attacking individually, instead of as a team. This happens so much. Hunter pouces, gets killed. Smoker smokes, gets killed. Another hunter pounces, gets killed. If they all attacked at once, they could have done some serious damage. Coordinate your attacks!
9) No patience with the tank. This is a big one. "Oh no, I've got the tank, I better run in there and attack before I lose control and one of my team mates will get to be the tank!!". Use patience with the tank. So what if you lose it. Wait for a boomer... if a boomer can hit one or two of the survivors, it makes the tanks job MUCH easier. Can't tell you how many times a tank will run in and quickly die because of no patience.
10) Keeping track of dead infected. Just killed 2 hunters and a smoker... run!! If you've killed 3 out of the 4 infected you need to gain some ground. You have 20 seconds of running unless a good boomer hits you. But chances are the boomer is behind you are when he sees you start running tries to get ahead of you and has a tough time finding a place to spawn. Keep track of the infected deaths, and when they are spawning you need to run!!
Anyway, just a few random thoughts there. Good luck and have fun. L4D is a great game!
