In all honesty, L4D never had any eerieness. IDK where in the game did you find yourself in a position where things were creepy and you were freaked out. Never happened here.
Sunlight is just a HUGE step forward for realism. There eventually had to be a map during the day. It makes the most sense for people to be the most active. Everything happens during the day. Hell, most zombie/infected movies are set during the day when all the action happens.

Because you know what's coming up next in L4D, and even if you don't, you know what's gonna attack you. You usually don't in Fallout 3 due to it's gigantic map size.
But I don't really care if it's not scary or it is, I just want to enjoy playing it and I don't want it to be repetitive and boring, and L4D2 looks like it isn't. That's the thing; I always knew wtf was coming in L4D yet it still had amazing replay value.
