I don't mean to sound dismissive, but isn't that just a bit like a normal horde attack, or a less effective version of the boomer's attack?

Maybe a "patrol" of riot-squad zombies from The Parish would be more effective? That way they're not likely to be immediately taken out as they run towards you, and your team-mates would definitely need to be on-hand once your melee meter maxes out.

They'd definitely have to be riot zombies or like a thousand normal ones. Commons are way too easy to kill to be effective in anything less than thousands. Come to think of it, having control over a thousand zombies would be awesome. You could have a birds eye view of your mob from the sky. The only problem I can think of is getting them up stairs or through a doorway. Maybe you could control just the zombie in the front and everyone else would follow or something.
