I got on tonight (I've been away for about a month b/c of holidays), and saw AT LEAST 3 people banned b/c of this in less than an hour. I had no clue what was going on! Thank God I didnt pick up a sniper... or this could be a different post in a different forum...

Now to be honest I've heard mixed things on this subject... seems the admins declare it an exploit and banable (fair enough)... and others say this is an old habit that may die hard (very true b/c I couldnt name a reg who hasnt done it). It has also been said this is an OLD exploit and does not even provide an advantage...

So, if the above is true that is not a "current" exploit, I kind of see why some people may be upset. I personally did not play counterstrike until several months after source came out. From what I gathered that means I started playin after it was fixed... and I still do it (or did now i suppose). I personally do it b/c i completely lose my bearings after a shot, especially if myself or the target moves... which is all the time. It allows me to get resight my target, or if I need to use my pistol, alrdy have it out. It also helps if you are usig that big bastard of a weapon the awp... u can actually see past it for a second. Now if anyone has seen me do it im slow as fuck unlike some people... who are lightning fast (maybe key bindings?) and are much better. I obviously wasn't playin way back when this was an exploit so I could hardly be called a old cheater, which seems to be insinuated if you do it. I picked this up from watching others, practically everyone on ttp, when i first came here.

Another point to make is if this does become permanent, will it be forced in ttp scrims? Generally there isnt an admin watching both side (or never when I was there), and I know not everyone makes a recording of there play...least I havent. So what would the stance be there? Also we have to think about the fresh meat that comes to the server. I mean I know we hate the normal stupid pub players that come in... but we were once those people. And lets be honest people... when you join a new server for the first time how many times do you read their rules/motd? Not many of you do I would guess. The point im tryin to make is that this may cause new comers to drop like flies bc the rest of the cs world does do this... and we cant stay completely isolated bc we all wont be here forever.

Basically, what I'm asking the community is how everyone feels about an old, unbeneficial "exploit" (if u want to call it that) or tactic. I know everyone here uses (or used) it so speak up plz and lets get this hammered out. I'm with what the community decides either way... this kinda reminds me of dynamic pricin and the bitch fits it caused.

I think one thing that has been is established is that it does not provide an advantage at all.... but if i'm wrong would a higher up plz speak? If this does not provide an advantage why all the fuss? I may be misinterrpretting it, but it seems the higher ups view this as bad as walling, nade spamming, aimbot etc...

And to be honest its not. If it doesn't give an advantage let em do it... everyone can/does do it unlike hacks or nade spamming.

and guys im not tryin to be pissy by any means... I mean I've NEVER been in trouble here and I'm not gettin my shit stick out to stir the pot... so plz dont see it that way. I just feel the people didnt get to speak...

Im just tryin to see if people feel the same or different as me and if anything should be done if there is an overwhelming majority either way... and to let people KNOW what the decision is.
