Lol! I think 90% of Valve's fanbase is too! Don't get me wrong, I love left4dead and all, but if they release ANOTHER one before the next Half Life I'm guna be seriously peeved...
I mean, first they kill off Eli, then they give us HARDLY ANY new info on G-Man...
And then I quit work, split up with my girlfriend, and kill all my family so I can spend 6 months uninterrupted with the game! That was over 2 years ago!
So Valve...
WHERE IS MY EPISODE 3?!?!?!?!

Left 4 Dead > Half-Life.
I don't give a crap about Half-Life. I didn't like it at all.
But I hope Left 4 Dead 3 is coming. They gotta finish it and all that.
If not, then I'm good.

Whaaaaaaat?!?! I know people who would castrate you on the spot for uttering this blasphemy!!!
On a serious note though, Left 4 Dead multiplayer pisses all over HL2 DM (the only thing I miss is headshotting people with toilets).
But for a dedicated single-player FPS? The Half Life series is king, always will be.
Regardless, all modern FPSs owe a huge amount to the Half Life series. It's the kind of game that raises the bar (pun intended) for all FPSs to follow. Which is why I think Valve is keeping so tight-lipped on the next installment.

What's so great about Half-Life? When I played it, all it made me do was follow a path already laid out and shooting the enemies, like many other games.
It's so damn boring for me.
It's my opinion. I don't see anything fun about it. Big deal if it set the standard. Standards are set all the time. It just doesn't stand out for me. It's not so great if I never heard about it until I rented Orange Box, and that was for Portal.
