Welcome back Yung.

I remember having a similar problem a while back, and if I recall correctly it was my router. It was an older router that was "out of date" and was having problems with Steam and their updates so I had to get a new one and it fixed the problem.

I have cable, but I'd imagine the same should work with DSL if indeed it is the router causing the problem.

I have the exact same problem, I don't know how old my router is, It might be time to get a new one . . .
