Hope you are all ready for a really dumb question.
I asked this last night sort of casually in game. I am running a DELL XPS 720 system at home on a wireless connection. I notice frequently shots that do not register. I got a few recommendations to be wired straight in. I was just curious if anyone else was running wireless to the net or not.
Have you noticed similar issues. And for those running straight in - am I a noob and should have been straight in this whole time?
Would this also help with choke I am assuming. I get mad choke during fire fights.

Probably just Counter Strike.. I'm running on a wireless network, its a badass 'N' type, but it's still wireless. I look at it this way, if it doesn't register (hard to say if it isn't) then you just need to aim better...

dnt think connection has anything to do with killin peeps... I think the speed of your computer ( which yours sounds fine) is what would affect it.

choke means you're not processing frames fast enough. Big has quite a thread in the hardware section, but basically choke is your problem, not the server (we pay good money for the server to not suck).
If you're seeing choke, but no loss, I would not suspect your connection to be an issue as much as your comp. Try moving the modem/router/whatever up to the computer so you can go wired, just as a test. If the problems go away, it's the wireless. If not, it's your computer.
simple enough

I was running wireless, and soon realized that Vista + wireless = Really fucked up game.
I have also heard that wireless can be good or bad, it just depends on th situation. I'd try running wired and see if there is a difference.

Re: Hope you are all ready for a really dumb question.
It's not limited to trying to killing people. And I definitely don't think it is the server. But I have tested it with people just standing there and me shooting. I've also noticed it on stagnant objects such as the flower pots on inferno etc. Seems the first shot just doesn't get it for some reason. I'll keep testing. Thanks for the advice guys.
