    I don't agree that the knife should be a weapon of last resort, there are times when its better to knife than shoot.
    One example is when your holding an objective and your team calls the rush on the opposite site. Sometimes when you rotate you end up flanking or coming up behind the other team. Knifing the first guy and then shooting at the rest is a good strategy as long as you are coming up behind them and they aren't killing your team or attempting to complete the objective. I think its justified because it allows you to attrit more members of their team before you get killed giving your team numbers over them. Granted this has to be the right circumstances

    The only parts about it that gets me upset is when your teammate is behind the guy who is shooting at you and instead of just shooting him and saving you they go for the knife or when a player is attempting to get knife kills only and by doing so sacrifices opportunities to reduce the opposing teams numbers. In both cases they are just taking up a slot on the server that a good player is waiting for.
