Thread: What to do when you're blind

Flash bangs.. they happen at the most inopportune times. So, let us discuss the proper techniques of what to do when blind, especially when rushing and around other team members.

I usually try to play in such a way to avoid flashes all together; but there are obviously some instances in the game play which being flashbanged is inevitable.

If i am camping in one spot waiting at a bomb site, or in the hostage room or something and i'm blind i will either sit and pray im alive (if im in a pretty good hiding spot), or get up and shoot shaking my mouse and running in the direction the flash probably came from (this best applying to the hostage room in compound)

For myself, when rushing and i get flashed; it usually seems like a good idea to keep running in the direction and just spray--this will not halt the rush, you might die... whatever; but, if there's a side place for me to go in the hallway or whatnot that i'm in i will most likely wait there; I mean if im in the front of a rush and blind, there is like a 95% chance i will die, so rather just keeping the rush going and having our team mates die it might be a good idea to halt the rush for a few seconds (my thoughts applying to the T-rush long on de_train--there are those boxes on the right and left; there are plenty of other areas like this in the game.. prodigy.. etc.. but you know what i mean). The way i see it, a living member is better than a dead member of the team; and the people behind you on that rush most likely aren't blind and you can continue the rush with them once you can see again! This of course does depend on the map, and location of the map..

All in all, i think making sure you don't block team members is key


So, how do you guys generally handle flashbangs? ; i'd like some feedback

I dunno what to say here, i think it depends of the situation. If you saw them spray in there general direction, if they don't know you are there you could stay quite. it also depends if you look away and take away a few seconds of no sound / white screen.

But it seems to me the only way people kill me is result of flash, or i am rushed by a big group of people in an open area.

Most of the times you see the flash coming, I always choose a spot where i think their head is guna be and burst. Or if its a random flash during a firefight ill take the time to reload.

This is more COD4 but I just shoot at the door I saw the flash come out of. In COD4 they're dead if you hit them at least once, but in CSS you'll at least injure them.

Yeah.. if you are in the front of a rush and get blinded you better keep running... one or two will inevitably die a lot.. so just bear with it if your that person that round.. don't block

And as far as navigating blind goes, that goes with knowing the map well and what not.. yeah

some instances though if you are in an open area and get blind (aka going up mid from the ct spawn in Dust2); i would either hide behind that box try and make my way back through those doors..

Yeah.. I suppose the the game with flashbangs has very variable situations and how to handle them at different times
