Thread: My MIC

Hey All

My mics doesn't seen to work. I went out and got two new ones. One is a USB and the other is normal plug in and still the same effect. When I push the button to talk it flicks on and off. I have tried to the loopback and it look like i am not holding down the button. I have gone into console and tried every voice command and checked with the online support.

I have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer Sound Card

If anyone has any ideas how to clear this up please let me know.

try this first go to control panel then to sounds and audio devices then go to the voice tab after you get there do test hardware and let it run the test. I used to have to do this when I got some stupid virus LoL. If that doesn't work you might do a system restore to a few days back when the mic worked if you haven't done to much to your computer. Worst case scenario you might reformat to fix it.

see if your mic is muted in the control panel for the soundcard

I tried both. It is still not working. I think it is a setting in the game. But thank you

when you did the test hardware did and you talked into the mic did you hear yourself? If not then its not ingame if you did hear yourself than your probably right it might be in game. You might bind it to another button to see if that fixes it.

I had same problem and was able to fix mine on the mixing board of the sound card. Open your card and find the tab that opens your mixing effects. As stated before there is a mute on that screen...mine was a volume issue though. Also does your mic have a mute button on the cord somewhere??
