Can we have a vote as to wether or not we want to even host this? I know it may not be in our power way down in the hiearchy, but maybe...

Joker.. clearly you have concerns... but you have yet to really show any reason for the concerns. Give GW a chance before you shoot it down so quickly. I myself am a suspicious person... and that includes being suspicious about GW. However i have yet to have to give any information to them that would concern me at all... nor have i seen anything that would worry me. I just havent learned as much about them and the process behind the system as i would of liked.
However such is true of many new website ventures. Give it some time before you reject the idea... let them prove their worth. If you have further questions or info by all means ask or put them out there.. but dont just vaguely say.. i dont like it... lets get rid of it.

So let's look at the possibilities here. It seems Joker's concerns are where are they going to get the money to pay for all of this stuff, and how will it affect team play. Let's assume they don't have any money. You play CS:S for a while, like you would do even if GW was not around, and when you go to redeem your tokens they no longer exist. What exactly have you lost? You were going to play the game anyway, so what if you don't get free prizes.
Others mentioned why are there no ads on the site, and i say who says the site is done. They are in beta testing, so why expect a finished product? I am sure that just like us they are negotiating with advertisers to get the best partnerships possible. I would also bet that just like us many of these have requirements to get into their network, which I am sure they don't have during their beta.
Team play. I played an hour or 2 on top 5 last night, and it was no different than when I played before GW was activated. Yes, there were some asshats, but there always are, and they didn't last long before being shown the door.
The only possible negative I can see is what Slippy mentioned about personal info. If they were to sell/release personal info it would be the death of the system because then nobody would sign up.
Bottom line is they are in the beta, and we are lucky enough to be beta testers, and give feedback on what we think will or won't work. Don't expect perfection in a beta.
