    help...

    Unable to initialize DirectSoundCapture. You won't be able to speak to other players.-Jäger- Specter_987 ^_^(nomic) connected
    This is the message i get in the console whenever I join a sever.

    Could somebody possibly tell me whats wrong...

    Thought it was that so i tested.....but the mic works fine....

    Pull the steam apps folder out into your desktop. Repair steam through he install icon. Once your done, put the steam apps folder where it belongs.

    I've done this a few times to fix the "no steam id" messages. Takes about 10 minutes and your done. Maybe it might work for you too.

    Is the install icon in the steam folder or in steam its self....

    Ive never hear of this before. Maybe check mic settings. If that doesnt work always delete clientregistry.blob. It solves alot of issues.
