Saving versus Defusing the Bomb
So, first of all I am going to assume that this is why I was banned. I got banned well after I left the server, so I have no idea why it happened.
I understand that you guys are making the argument that the ct's should always try to defuse the bomb because that's helping the team. That makes sense usually. Wat happens when the bomb is planted in A of dust2 for example and you are in B when the bomb is planted. By the time you make it up short the situation is 6+ vs 1 and you have 15 or less seconds to try to kill them all and defuse the bomb. They have awps in pit and several sitting on ramp etc. in A. According to the server rules, you are required to attempt to defuse the bomb because it helps your team.
I argued with the admin over this, because I believe that saving your gun in this situation helps the team more than throwing it away. If there is a 100% chance that are going to die by trying to defuse, then why try to defuse? Especially if you won't be able to afford a gun next round. In real life you wouldn't send someone in to try to defuse the bomb in that situation either.
Then later, I typed kill in console in a similar situation to do the admins job for him since I was sure he would slay me if i didn't suicide, and that didn't go over well. lol
If the reason I was banned was for being argumentative, then so be it. I will always argue with rules I strongly disagree with. I was previously banned for quickswitching and that got overturned too.

The purpose of the request was not to be unbanned. I was trying to open this up for discussion. I'm sorry if I miscommunicated that.

Well a few comments..
TTP is a "Team Player" servers, so by not attemping to defuse, you are not attempting to go for the objective, so that is an offense and bannable. Plus, how do you know that you won't kill all of them unless you try? And how it is helping your team by NOT going for the objective? But most importantly, if your not trying to complete the objectives then your not a team player. There are hundreds of other CSS servers that you can go to and pad your KDR, our servers are not them.

If you know that 3 are on ramp and that 2-3 are in pit and you have 15 seconds left, then there is no chance of being able to defuse. You know this because you have fought your way up to short and have seen that there are 3 near sight. You know that the others must be long, ( or possibly in ct spawn or behind you, which is unlikely but possible) because otherwise the admin would have slayed them.
15 seconds left
-5 for defusing
-7-8 for getting over to the bomb
This leave you with 2-3 seconds to kill everyone.
I have played competitively for over a year in addition to several years of play, and I know that in this situation it is better for the team if you run away and keep your gun. I don't really care about my KDR, and wouldn't have done this to pad it.
Saving your gun helps the team by significantly increasing the odds of completing the objective in future rounds.
