Thread: Something has got to be done

The gun cost is out of control, a losing team is screwed. We lost 10 rounds in a row, cause we where running around no armor and glock, against m4, deagles, and awp (also autos). Man, this is making the server no fun, and premote spawn camping.

Take in to count, the winning is awping....bam...the awp gets banned. Then the winning still has enough money to have auto out gaying up the game play. Where is the balance, i understand stepping up ur game, but damn some of us (me), don't have that much game.

I agree with Dark this pricing system is WAYYY outta control sometimes I like it sometimes IT SUCKS! But over all i like it!

I dont know.. I complained all I could and predicted this.
more camping
less teamplay
less desire to defuse bombs
more rogue's
harder for losing team to win
etc etc..
I expect it to continue..

Sure there is a c_var but it is up to the ttp server to use it or not. You can complain to valve or suggest that ttp use the c_var.

If these gas prices continue to rise....I mean gun prices....you can find me on the gun game server more often!

if valve wants to talk about supply and demand. I presume that their is still a lot of demand for people to want to use ak's/m4'/deagles/armor etc.

The supply has suddenly gone down in those commodities, but their is still demand, so people will flow to where their is supply. Valve doesnt have complete control however, because they do not have a lock down on the supply. Players can move to non dwp servers, gun game servers, servers with $16k starting, other games all together, to satisfy their demand.

All reasons why this thing is so damn sad imo..

CS has gone through years and years of "testing" to come up with the prices we had, now in less than a week they are trashed and we have a completely different game. People are playing with completely different objectives than they used to, no longer is the bomb plant / defuse scenario the real objective, now the objective is to own the good guns and stop the enemy getting them I have seen teams of CTs armed to the max camp out and wait for Ts armed only with glocks, just to avoid being shot and losing their gun lol

I dont see how we can say that because of two things - an increase in armor and and increase in the price of one weapon...the maps are going to be all of a sudden stacked...

Why not try another strategy - try a different defense - a different route.

TTP's open to reviewing the dynamic weapon pricing once we've seen it's true effect - I think, however, this is another jump to conclusions....

Supply and demand will take it's course JP - it may just be that 4300 isn't enough yet for an M4.

Awarding the same money based on wins and loses while increasing drastically commodity prices will have an impact on a free market - and it'll show up in the atats valve posts on thier website....

Stick with it guys - use your mic's - talk it up, rest on teamplay.....ask for help from the admin....

Same with me as GI, altought i dont mind it too much (expect that the normal amount of money i once needed is throwing off what i can and cant buy) im gonna be playing the gun game more if the prices dont change back, or cahnge in a postive way

I know what you're talking about Dark, but the truth is, the Ts should not have been losing. Most of the Ts were camping spawn to begin with. The team had the capability to win, but was camping in spawn. You're not going to win like that. If you spend all your cash in one round and get killed without getting a kill, you'll probably have no cash the next round, but that shouldn't be because of the new pricing system anyway. Believe me, you can get shit done with just a glock. It's a great weapon and easy to get headshots with. People need to realize it.

Though I did think it was bullshit that our side had autos once the awp was banned. I was telling them to put it down.
