If you are looking for a quick, reliable way to get better aim, you should zero in your sensitivity. This is something simple that most people don't do. Don't just pick a sensitivity and learn to use it or whatever. You should find the sens that is natural to you.

Go in a map like D2, and go to CT spawn. Standing in one spot in the middle of the spawn area, shot the wall on your left and right exactly in line with each shot on the wall and your position.

Set your sensitivity to double what you use and try and flick from one mark on the wall to the other in one smooth motion. This 180 degree turn should be a natural flick of the wrist. Then set your sensitivity to 0.5 and try again. Sometimes go from straight ahead to the mark ( 90 degree flick) and whatnot.

Keep adjusting your sensitivity from higher than your current sens to much lower until you start zeroing in on exactly what sensitivity you need to be able to do a 180 degree turn in a single comfortable motion and have control of your 90 degree turn. Make sure you are also doing these flick shots as fast as you can.

For myself when I did this, I used to use 2.5 sens so I started @ 5 then .2 then bounced it around 4 > .5> 3 > .5 > .8 ect... until I went lower than my sens had been and eventually found that just about sensitivity "1" was what was perfect for me. Then I fiddled around a little more and found that my natural sensitivity for my mouse, mousepad, cplfix was sensitivity "1.085" exactly for me by making quick flicks between arbitrary points.

After zeroing in on my sensitivity I immediately noticed that my aim was muuuuch better and I had much more control.
