To silence or not to silence?

silenced... the less the enemy knows where the shots are coming from, the better, along with his teamates. aim for the head and you wont be able to tell a difference.

I don't remember where I've heard this, but from what I understand, a silencer makes the dmg not so powerful (maybe a body shot with the silencer is 45dmg, but without is 55?). If I am going to spray, I use the silencer, but when I want single or double controlled shots, I leave the silencer off

i use cl_crosshairscale 1500 and i use silenced it makes the crosshair a little more open and not small i like it better that way its what i prefer and think is best.

i always have my m4 un-silenced unless i am the only one alive and need to kill 3+ players, then i will throw it on quickly to give me some added sneakiness. there is no point if a team is rushing you to have it on.

I use it if I'm going to be hiding in sneaky places or I want to be sneaky. That's not usually how I roll though... The silencer is usually off and I run up on you and shove my barrel down your throat.

Just depends on the situation.
