Well I just noticed something odd, so it may 'half work'
We did a team swap and the scores went with. but after a map vote and CT win it reversed again. strange. Ill keep my eyes on it see how it goes.
Edit: It's almost as if the scores reswitch at the end of the map. But at the least the tally is there during the game which is important in determining the winning team (for thy gentlemen's rule)

if u just wanna win maps go play Cal or whatever it is now. You can still have competition to win each individual round the TEAM is still there.

Re: Please read and understand....
For me it's not about who wins. Just keeping an accurate tabs on the winning team. I believe it's important aspect for some on when to use awps/autos and when not. The courtesy rule which some do some don't. -shrugs-. Again I'll keep watching how it goes, as long as it keeps running tab up to the end than that change achieves that purpose.

Re: Please read and understand....
I agree with mitch on that it can really break rhythm, which isn't always good, but I still am in favor of it, it's nice to change things up a bit.

Re: Please read and understand....
I agree that breaking rhythm and fighting for the map win are good things, but I like the team swap for several reasons.
First, I think that it requires more strategy and communication. To take your team from CT, which is primarily reactionary, and turn them into aggressive rushers on T means that you need to be able to communicate effectively in two different scenarios. Every player has strengths and weaknesses, some are better at defense, some are better rushers (mardigan). I believe using these strengths and weaknesses in both situations require more teamplay, not less.
Second, I think that giving everyone a chance to play both sides of the map makes for a more balanced game. I know this doesn't apply to most of the regulars (right?) but certain maps get people stacking one side or the other. CT on Nuke, Aztec, and Cbble are just the most prominent examples. By having the option to switch, you are at least working to balance the "hard" sides of the map.
Third, I think that if a team is "raping" on one side, to show that they are truly better, they should have to prove it on the other side was well. Even if the team scores stay the same, that doesn't change who won the most rounds. If the display of the score is what matters, I think that is missing the point.
Finally, with regards to rage quitting. I feel like people are more likely to quit if they are getting rolled on one side, and a normal extend vote passes. At least you can try to talk yourself into the fact that a team switch will change momentum. If you are just getting jacked up on a map, and you realize you have 15 more minutes of slaughter to look forward to, that doesn't leave a lot of incentive to stay.

Re: Please read and understand....
Well I will need some confirmation from others cause I was auto'ed every single extend -- but I feel like my mind is playing tricks on me, The command seems to carry Wins, but after the lower score team wins they reverse. From my experience. If I am correct.. than it was worth testing out but fails to do anything meaningful.
I think I am starting to see Arreo's side of this. Who the fuck cares -- it swaps teams, get over it. Vote won on both ends, regs and admins. I know personally wins dont mean anything-- its a round by round, blow for blow ordeal.
The only other option I can see is somehow putting in vote extend, than a vote swap if extend wins. This would give the current players voice in which way to go, since it seems some like it, some do not. Some would prefer to maintain their side to 'groove' on the current flow. To me this lacks imagination... but hey to each their own.
I'll see how we may go about that after some sleep and what-not.

Moot point now that we have transitioned out from Mani admin mod to Lonestar. There is no extend with team swap now as that was a Mani function.
